Information Literacy: AUBG Library Services and Information Literacy

Panitza Library Services for Information Literacy

Panitza Library has a variety of services available for AUBG students and faculty:

  • Individual consultations with students upon request for information literacy skills (e.g. finding and using academic sources for general or specific assignments, narrowing research topics, keyword searches, evaluating the relevance of search results, and how to correctly create citations, etc.).
  • Individual consultations with students writing their senior thesis to help find specific materials and tips for creating literature reviews and keeping track of citations.
  • Individual consultations with faculty members to highlight the academic journals and other resources available through the library collection for their courses and/or research.
  • Credo InfoLit Database. Please see more details below.

Please contact the library today to schedule a time to get support with any of the services listed above or if you have additional questions.

Credo InfoLit Database

Credo InfoLit Core is an interactive database of information literacy tutorials that are assigned by professors or can be accessed by students to improve their own knowledge on the topic.

If you are required to complete Credo InfoLit Core as a class assignment, please refer to your course syllabus for instructions.

If you would like to complete the tutorials on your own to improve your general knowledge, please select “Credo InfoLit Core” from the database dropdown menu on the library website. Modules include topics such as: searching for and evaluating information and citation and information ethics among other related subjects. You can complete all of the tutorials or pick and choose the ones that interest you. Please contact Kate Ruprecht at kruprecht@aubg.edu, if you have questions.
