The Bulgarian National Centre for Information and Documentation (NACID) is responsible for various information and administrative services related to the development and advancement of education, training, and science.
NACID maintains and regularly updates some essential registers for scholars. The Bulgarian Current Research Information System (BulCRIS) contains detailed information concerning scientific organizations, higher education institutions, scientists and scientific researches. Information about announced competitions for scientific researches, priorities in the science area, resources for scientific research received by scientific organizations and higher education institutions is published on this portal.
In the Register for Researchers you can check information about your current academic rank and title. You can search by name, number in CRIS, keywords, scientific area, academic rank, degree, or organization (747 - Американски университет в България). When you click on the magnifying glass icon, you can see more detailed information about the researcher.
In the Register for Academic Staff you can explore information about the defended dissertations for the academic and educational degree of “doctor” (PhD) and the academic degree of “doctor of sciences” (ScD) and the list of habilitated persons in Republic of Bulgaria (with academic position assignments of Chief Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor) directly from the higher educational institutions and the science organizations accredited by the respective authority – the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA). Here you can check out the database and search by various criteria.
