Services for Faculty: Library Catalog

This guide is intended for faculty with the aim to provide information about the library services and resources.

Library Catalog

Panitza Library collection consists of of 125 000 print books and more than 500 000 e-books. Both the print and electronic resources are searchable in the library catalog. You can access it from the Search box at the home page of the Library. The Books search tab opens by default. Write your key words/author/title and search for anything you'd like.

Borrowing

Borrowing Library Materials – Faculty may borrow up to 30 items at a time for 90 days. Faculty is not charged overdue fines, but professional courtesy requires regular returning of library materials. Upon patron's request some of the borrowed materials will be recalled.

Online Book Renewal - Faculty may renew items online from the library catalog.  After you have entered the library’s page you need to log in My account, which you can find on the left upper corner of the screen. You log in using the following credentials:

Username – type in username@aubgin.local (e.g. rsmith@aubgin.local)
Password – enter the same password you use to log in to your AUBG email

Once you have logged in, you have the option of renewing the borrowed materials. Each item may only be renewed once online. If you need to renew them again, please contact a librarian.

Online Requests - When you are logged into your account, you can request on-loan library items. Search for the needed material in the catalog. After you have found the item, click on "Request” button. Faculty requests are treated by the system with privilege.

Overdue/Lost Library Materials - when library materials are overdue, you will be notified by e-mail. If library materials are lost you are expected to cover its full cost plus €10 shipping and processing fees.
