Psychology

This guide is intended for students interested in psychology, who are doing research for assignments, projects and other works.

Print Books

In the Panitza Library Catalog you can search for books, periodicals, reserve materials, non-print materials.

Author's Search

Enter the author's name in reverse order in the search box. Example: Freud, Sigmund (capitalizing and coma not necessary)

Title Search

Enter the title or part of it. If the title starts with an article, try finding it in both ways. Example: The psychology of appearance (capitalization not necessary)

Subject Search

Enter just one subject term in the search box. Example: Brainwashing (capitalizing not necessary)

Call Number Search

An alphanumeric code, which indicates the location of the books on the shelves. Example: HC240.R54 2004 (capitalization not necessary)

Journal Title Search

Enter a title of a journal. If the title starts with an article, try finding it in both ways. Example: Political psychology  (capitalization not necessary)

Keyword Search                                                                                                                                                                        

Search by entering one keyword or a combination of keywords.  

Reserve Search
A Reserve Search lets you search for items on placed reserve by either the instructor's name or the course number, or reserve title. Example: Harvey, Ronald or PSY 102 or Introduction to Social Psychology.
